Supply Chain Co-ordinator for a New Client
Posted on 18th December 2018 at 16:47
Emerald Starfish was asked to find a Supply Chain Coordinator for a Manufacturing company in Corby, having met with the MD of this company there were challenges he had faced previously that had resulted in us being referred to him.
The Challenge
The MD highlighted that the problems he had faced previously was the lack of “calibre” of the candidate. Volume was not an issue, but the time spent sifting through the C.V’s and the whole selection process was very consuming to running his business. He stated that even after this he often felt disappointed with the lack of motivation from the candidates and their “can do attitude”
The Background
Emerald Starfish was referred into this company, so as always, we arranged a visit to go along and meet the MD and have a tour of the company. The MD gave a thorough job description and highlighted the key areas of the ideal candidate. Having come away from here the instruction was given for us to set about finding the Supply Chain Coordinator.
The Solution
We created a branded advert and wrote an inspiring advert to attract the desired candidates. We sifted through all of the 188 C.V’s, conducted numerous, telephone interviews, sent a pre-qualified short list of six for face to face interviews, and finally two for second stage interview.
The Result
The client appointed the ideal candidate, in fact he said “They were both so good he would have liked to take them both on” The costs resulted in a saving of £2550, but most importantly the time saved was immeasurable.
For a fixed price, Emerald Starfish undertook:
Design of the Recruitment Advert
Branded advertising of the role
Screening of all applicants against each job profile
Telephone interviewing of relevant candidates
Managing all the candidates throughout the process to ensure an exceptional level of service.
