Group Outplacement Workshops
We offer a range of different workshops to suit your company and your staff needs. Run for up to 10 people they combine job search workshops with professional consultant support in a supportive safe group setting covering all the important issues and questions arising at time of job change.
All candidates that attend our workshops receive on-going support by telephone and email from their designated outplacement consultant until they are successfully settled in their next role.
Group outplacement programmes are a cost effective way to offer the benefits of outplacement support to a greater number of people within your organisation.
General Outplacement Workshop
This is a 1-day outplacement workshop for up to 10 individuals. It can be tailored to the needs of the candidates but can include:
Coping with Change
Practicalities of being made redundant
Looking at a new career direction
Where jobs are advertised
Writing letters and CVs
Interview techniques and questions
Social media – LinkedIn, twitter, Facebook etc
Networking to find a job
Interview Skills Workshop
This is a half day workshop to support and prepare candidates for interview for a maximum of 8 people. This helps to build their confidence and understand what their next employer is looking for with the interview process and how to make the best impression.
During this session we cover:
Dress to impress
Interview etiquette and body language
Top achievements
Strengths and weaknesses
Different types of interviews
STAR technique
Questions to ask
CV Writing Workshop
This is a half day practical workshop for a maximum of 6 people. By the end of this session each candidate will have their CV to be able to send it out to potential employers. Ideally computer access is required for this workshop, although it can be run as a paper based session too.
Looking at an individual’s skills and strengths
What should be included – current legislation
History – what to include and what to leave out
Tailoring CVs for specific roles
Covering letters
LinkedIn Workshop
This is a half day workshop to help candidates utilise LinkedIn to enhance their profile within the professional arena and to search effectively for jobs using this tool.
During this session we cover:
Networking – who do you know?
Differences between LinkedIn and your CV
Setting out your profile
Getting recommendations and why they are important
Building your network
LinkedIn for job searching
Managing LinkedIn
