How to get your candidate attraction strategy right

The current job market is competitive. How can you ensure your job advert reaches those qualified candidates?
1. Decide where your candidates are most likely to visit on line and advertise here. Most candidates will use the top 6 job boards and this is a great way to gain maximum coverage. Also, look at specific industry job boards or graduate portals depending on the position. 11am is the most popular time for job applications so ensure that your adverts are visible then.
2. Understand what job seekers want. This ranges from flexible working, career benefits and advancement opportunities all of which rank higher than salary in 76% of applications. If you can offer these make sure that you state them in the adverts.
3. Make the application process easy. Ensure that your candidate application process is as easy as it can by using recruitment technology for candidates to apply through rather than lengthy application forms.
